1956 TOUR
In Mid July 1956 Meher Baba and four of his men mandali ( close ones ) departed on a months circumnavigation of the globe. They departed Bombay ( Mumbai ) by plane landing briefly at Damascus ( Syria ) and Beirut Airport ( Lebanon ) then onto Zurich ( Switzerland ) and London. They then flew to New York, NY, Richmond V.,Wilmington, NC, Myrtle Beach, SC, Washington DC., Dallas / Ft. Worth, TX., Los Angeles, Meher Mount, Ojai, San Francisco, CA., then to Honolulu, (Hawaii Is ), Kroton Is ( Kiribati ), Suva,( Fiji ), Sydney, Melbourne & Darwin, Australia, then onto Jakarta, ( Indonesia ), Singapore and back to Bombay in mid August.
This car is seen at the end of the John Grant interview ( see video below ) which was filmed by Michael Ney at Sydney's Mascot airport. John is driving the Mini Minor wagon with the luggage following Baba's car.
Avatar Meher Baba visited Sydney and Melbourne for the first time in August 1956. On 11 August 1956 Baba was interviewed by Donald Ingram Smith, a radio and television presenter. The interview was audio tape-recorded. This video includes the tape-recording and a transcription to assist comprehension of the interview.

In 1949 Francis Brabazon began quarrying stone and building a house in Beacon Hill, Sydney, in the hope that one day, Avatar Meher Baba would visit this house.

Meher Baba was taken to the city during his visit and requested to see a movie at a cinema. The film they went into was "The Man who never was ". They didn't stay very long before they all left.
