SUFFERING OF PRISONERS

They reached Visapur railway station, where Baba distributed snacks to the children and then to the teachers and mandali. They then went to see the large lake and reservoir which was under construction by the prisoners of the Visapur Jail. Watching the hard labors of the convicts, the Master remarked: "These poor creatures are suffering untold hardships and privations just because they have broken the law of the land and of society. But what must be the fate of those who defy the laws of God and Nature? The best way to save oneself from breaking Divine Law is to surrender completely to a Sadguru and follow his instructions to the letter."

The group was greatly affected by his compassion even for hardened criminals.
