Meher Baba’s Blue Bus Tours (Dec. 1938 – Nov. 1941) represent an important phase of the Avatar’s work, the only one in which He focussed His nazar on the women in the ashram on Meherabad Hill. Susan McKendree spent eight years researching and writing about the tours, and in 2020 her book, Meher Baba’s Blue Bus Tours: Spiritual Journeys in India with the Avatar of the Age, was published by Sheriar Press.

Susan invites you to join Baba’s closest female devotees as we journey the length and breadth of India to learn about His work with the women, how it differed from His work with the men, and how this extraordinary experience forever changed the women’s lives. We will also see how Baba was the Divine multitasker, juggling and interweaving the management of His traveling ashram with His mast work, direction of WWII, creation of a Universal Spiritual Center, and establishment of the Meher Baba Journal, at the same time that He was overseeing the Meherabad ashram and keeping in touch His lovers in India and in the West.
