From the 1970s to the 1990s, Steve spent a great deal of time in India, and he lived there on a more or less continuous basis as a resident from 1982 to 1986. While there, he worked on a number of book projects with Bal Natu, one of Baba’s Mandali. He also worked closely with Eruch, who was one of Baba’s very closest Mandali, editing Eruch’s recollections of life with Baba, That’s How It Was.
